James Emond Obituary

James T. "Jim" Emond, 80, of Stratham, went home to be home with the Lord on Friday, June 20, 2025 in Exeter, NH. He was born on August 23, 1944 in Lowell, MA to the late Joseph and Ursula Emond.
Jim grew up in Saugus, and later Lynn, and graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1963. He worked a few small jobs before finding his career at General Electric in Lynn, where he worked on turbines for 32 years.
He met the love of his life, Rosemary Pitochelli in 1966 at Salisbury Beach, and married a year and a half later on December 10, 1967. They've been happily married for the past 57 years. They moved to Exeter from Lynn in 1973, and from there, they lived in Seabrook for 40 years.
Jim was passionate about all kinds of sports. He played on a softball league himself for many years, and played darts. He loved watching baseball, and attending his granddaughter's games even more. Jim loved his family, and was always supportive. In the early 70's, he made the decision to give his live to Jesus, and it changed his life forever
Jim and Rosemary enjoyed taking overnights or short vacations to North Conway and Lake George, NY.
He and Rosemary had been attending Bethany Church in Greenland for the past 5 years.
Jim is survived by his wife, Rosemary; his daughter Kelly and her husband Bill Lorman; his son Brian and his wife Christine Emond; Six grandchildren, Kendra (and Jason), Kalahn, Olivia (and DJ), Will (and Genevieve), Andrew, and Liam. He is also survived by his brother John and his wife, Mary Emond; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased his brother, Joseph Emond Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bethany Church, 500 Breakfast Hill Rd., Greenland, NH.
Burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery, Exeter, NH.
