James Guerrieri Obituary

JAMES PAUL GUERRIERI was born and raised in Youngstown, OH, then relocated to Mayfield Heights. He passed away on July 16, 2025 at the age of 88. Dearest father of Dr. James P Guerrieri Jr. (deceased) (Carla), Lisa Guerrieri Trifiletti (Michael), and Michele Guerrieri; loving Poppa of A.J. Trifiletti, Kayla Trifiletti, Christopher (Sara), Matthew (Alexanra), and Elizabeth Guerrieri; great-grandfather of J.P., Max, and Juniper; son of Paul and Mary (deceased); he was a dear brother of the late Pauline, Lucy, Mario, Frank, Orlando, and Benny; and proud "Uncle Jimmy" to his many beloved nieces and nephews. Cherished companion of late Vera Szuch and father/grandfather figure to Kim Fludine (deceased), Gina Szuch, Ronald Szuch (Heather Franco), Jessical Ilacqua (Vincenzo), Ashleigh Keefe (David), Adam Fludine (Nhi Trong), Robert "RJ", Jonathan Caskovic, Maddison Keefe, and Easton Ilacqua.

James worked for Hamburg Brothers for many years as a Champion Sales Manager in their RCA/Whirlpool divisions which led him from residing in Youngstown, OH to Solon, Ohio. He then became a self-employed radon inspector with EGAL Home Inspection. He had a profound love for his dogs, Charmin, Lucy, and undeniably his "Angelo" with whom will be at his side. James was an avid storyteller and Jokester who played a mean hand of gin-rummy. He was an excellent chef which brought his family and friends together especially at Christmastime when everyone would "break bread" at his home for the feast of the seven fishes. He was a proud man who enjoyed bragging about all of his family's accomplishments and really did try to do good for all. His mischievous nature and sense of humor carried him into his final days. May he rest in peace and now be reunited with his cronies and "cumares" who have passed before him, cigar in hand. And - no doubt, he will be rooting on the sidelines for the Cleveland Teams and especially the Buckeyes!

Funeral Service Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. at the SCHULTE & MAHON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 5252 MAYFIELD RD., LYNDHURST (BETWEEN RICHMOND AND BRAINARD). The service will be live streamed on the funeral home website. Entombment Knollwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends AT THE FUNERAL HOME TUESDAY FROM 10:00 A.M. UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE.
