Early Sunday morning, June 22nd, 2025, Everett James Harris transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home at his residence in Manassas Park, Virginia. Everett was born on October 23th,1952, in Loudoun County, Virginia, to the late Frederick and Elizabeth Harris. He was the youngest son of nine children.
Later on in life Everett changed his name to James Elwood, and dropped Everett. Over the years, family and friends affectionately nicknamed him "White Monkey" and "Chico" "Squirrely". James and his siblings were raised in Chantilly, Virginia, better known back then as Conklin,VA.
James was preceded in death by his mother and father, his wife Delois A Harris, 1 sister: Mary A Harris, 3 brothers: Herbert Harris, Fred Harris, and Albert Harris.
James is survived by two daughters, Melissa (Darryl) Wooden and Elder Jamie (District Elder Charles) Curry; two sons; James and Tyrone Griffin; 1 sister, Elizabeth Harris; 2 brothers, John (Diane) Harris and Wilson Harris; 3 brothers-in-law, Ernest (Grace), Lawrence (Dorothy), Robert Griffith. He also leaves behind 16 grandchildren; De'Andre (Tabitha), Danielle, Derrell (Kadejah), Brandon, Destinee, Tyra, Zyrea, Josiah, Mercy, Daisy, Shaniyah, Kamarii, Amari, Isabella. 7 great-grandchildren, De'Andre Jr., Derrell Jr., Brielle, Timothy, Kyla, Heaven, and Kamille. To his extended family, he loved and cherished every moment shared with, just a few; Raymond Jackson, Gene Harris, and John Harris(Big John) whom he considered like little brothers, not just nephews. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
