James Eugene Hill passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on January 30, 1955, James dedicated 25 years of his life to serving as a pastor, leaving a profound impact on the lives of many in his community.
In addition to his dedication to ministry, James had a passion for the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he found solace and joy in nature, often sharing these experiences with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Linda Hill; three devoted daughters, Amanda (Micah) Shaull of Bristow, OK, Cassandra (John) DeWeber of Royal, AR, and Abigail Hill of Royal, AR; grandchildren, Layla and Cam Shaull, Chase Hessong, and James and Tristan DeWeber.
James is also survived by his brother, Jerry (Susan) Hill; and his sisters, Kathy (Randy) Forrest and Linda Diggs. He held a special place in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom will miss his kind soul and vibrant spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Lois Hill, as well as his grandson, David DeWeber; brother-in-law, Donnie Diggs (husband of Linda Diggs); and his twin grandsons.
James Eugene Hill leaves behind a remarkable legacy of faith, love, and a deep connection to both his family and his community. He will be remembered with great affection by all who knew him.
Services to honor the life of James will be held at the Forest Hills Church of God in Royal, AR, on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025. Visitation will begin at 1:30pm with services to follow at 2:00pm.
