With heavy hearts and fond memories, the family of James (Jim) Robert Irminger announces his peaceful passing at the age of 82, at home in Kearney, Missouri, surrounded by close family and friends.

Jim was born on August 19, 1942, in Liberty, Missouri, to Miller and Minnie Irminger, who preceded him in death. From his earliest days, Jim was known for his warmth, his laughter, and his unwavering sense of faith. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1961 and went on to serve his country with pride in the Missouri National Guard from 1961 to 1967.

On February 15, 1997, Jim married Carol Irminger and together they built a blended family rooted in love and togetherness. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carol; daughter Pamala (Mike) Whitman; son Brian Irminger; stepdaughter Christy (Trent) Nichols; stepson Shane (Kristi) Fleshman; brothers Bill (Denise) Irminger and David (Jodi) Irminger, several nieces, a nephew and numerous other loving family and friends. Jim's legacy continues through his grandchildren: Brady Whitman, Blakely Whitman, Makenzie (Grant) Jameson, Kassidy Pfeiffer, Tanner Nichols, Garrett Fleshman, and Natalie Fleshman, all of whom he cherished deeply.

A man of strong faith, Jim was a dedicated member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty, Missouri, where he gave his time generously as a volunteer. His faith guided him, and his kindness touched the lives of many in his community.

Jim was an avid duck and pheasant hunter, finding solace and joy in the outdoors. His yard was his masterpiece and his tomato plants the pride of every season-labor lovingly tended, shared, and enjoyed. He delighted in sharing great meals, especially when cooked by Carol, and treasured moments spent with family and friends. Watching Kansas City Chiefs games with his son Brian was a favorite pastime, often accompanied by hearty laughter and the occasional "Daggumit" in moments of frustration.

Jim will be dearly missed by all who knew him and will always be remembered for his humor, his generosity, and his unwavering love for those around him. He lived each day with gratitude and leaves behind a legacy of faith, laughter, and love.

Visitation will be held at Hidden Valley Funeral Home in Kearney, Missouri, on August 8th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, with a memorial service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

I'm a cousin on the Crum side. Jim's mom was a Crum. My name is Ann Crum Lemon. We spent many holidays at our Crum grand parent's eating and playing games. Sending love and prayers to all of his family.
