James R. Kindrick was born on December 23, 1932 in Covington, Tennessee, the son of the late Samuel B. and Mildred Lucille Cross Kindrick.
On June 6, 1992, he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Russom, who preceded her husband in death on March 1, 2025.
Mr. Kindrick worked in production making American Home Products for Boyle Midway. He was an avid gardener. He loved working in flowers, plants, and making a garden of vegetables. James liked bluegrass, gospel, and country music. He was Southern Baptist in belief.
James R. Kindrick departed this life on August 24, 2025 in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 92 years, 8 months, and 1 day.
He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca K. Kindrick of Madison, Indiana and Lisa Rena Locke of Savannah, Tennessee; brothers, Gene Kindrick and J.W. Kindrick; sisters, Faye Shankles, Mildred Tacker, and Kathleen Roberts; grandchildren, Blake K. Locke, Wyatt L. Locke, Neely C. Locke, and Wesley S. Cowan; and great grandchildren, Ben Cowan, Xander Cowan, Tyler Cowan, and Casey Cowan.
In addition to his wife and parents, James was preceded in death by his brothers, Alvin Kindrick, Charles Kindrick, and Tommy Kindrick and sisters, Martha Coln, Bettye Jean Coln, and Nellie Carter.
