Mr. Knowles was also a professional drummer and enjoyed playing jazz music with various regional dance bands. He was also a DJ with local radio stations. His greatest joy was serving alongside his wife as a pastor's spouse. Mr. Knowles was of the Methodist Faith. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Eleanor Walden.
