" James "Jim" Alison Leininger

April 7, 1960 – July 18, 2025

With hearts heavy with grief yet full of love, we announce the unexpected passing of James Alison Leininger, affectionately known as Jim, age 65, of Franktown, Colorado, on Friday, July 18, 2025.

Jim was born on April 7, 1960, in Gilroy, California, to Anne and the late Richard "Dick" Leininger. He spent over 35 years in security management before retiring, where he was known for his steady presence, quiet leadership, and strong work ethic.

Jim was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. He was dependable, loyal, and always ready to help his family, friends, or neighbors-often with detailed directions in hand. His greatest joy was his family, whom he loved with quiet strength and unwavering devotion.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Rhonda, whom he married on April 18, 1981. Together they built a life full of love, laughter, and legacy. He was the proud father of Aaron and his wife Rachel, and Matthew and his wife Meaghan. He was also a devoted grandfather to Cale, Peyton, Grayson, and Carleigh. Jim was endlessly supportive and present in their lives-from cheering at games to calling hourly for updates when his youngest granddaughter arrived early. His presence was felt in both the big and small moments, and he was happiest when surrounded by his grandchildren.

Jim had a deep love for sports-especially football and golf. He enjoyed grilling, coaching, and passing along life lessons-often through music or a quiet conversation. He found joy in teaching his grandchildren the saxophone and guitar, sharing pieces of his past with the future he loved so dearly.

He is also survived by his mother, Anne; his twin brother, Rick; and his siblings Lori, Randy, Darren, and Julie. He was preceded in death by his father, Dick, who passed just seven months prior.

Jim's legacy is one of quiet strength, heartfelt loyalty, and deep love. Though words were few, his impact was lasting-and those who knew him felt it clearly and deeply.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held at a later date. The family will share details once plans are finalized."

Jim gave me a chance to move up in security. Got to the point where if I had nothing to do and went to work early, I was able to kick him out early so he could travel the hour or more trip back home from Thornton.
I remember him as kind and easy to approach about matters.
I am saddened by his passing.
