James Albert Leita entered eternal rest July 5, 2025 at the age of 76. He was born January 23, 1949 in Victoria, Texas to the late Bruno Leita and Hattie Orsak Leita.
Services will be Friday, July 11, 2025 with visitation at 9:00 AM and Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at Grace Funeral Home, 2401 Houston Hwy., in Victoria, Texas. Burial will be at Wood Hi Cemetery with fellowship to follow at the Inez Community Center. Honoring James as pallbearers will be Jeremy Stout, Ethan Stout, Daniel Stout, Fred Hoelter, Joshua Rozsypal, Gavin Leita, Terry McCoy and Randy Larson.
James was a retired farmer and rancher. He grew up knowing the value of hard work and harder play. His favorite past times were traveling and bird hunting. He cherished spending time with his family and will be remembered with love by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son, James Paul Leita; sister, Jeanette Schumann; brother, B.J. Leita; brother-in-law, Dwain Franz.
Leaving to cherish his memory is his daughter, Jana Stout (Jeremy); son, Jerome Leita; grandchildren, Ethan Stout, Daniel Stout, Katelynn Gabrysch (Logan), Chandler Puckett, Granger Leita, Gavin Leita; great-grandchild, Hudson Brannan; step-children, Joshua Rozsypal (Rachel), Rebecca Puckett (Dane), Fred Hoelter, Dolly Kutac (Mike); brothers, Dennis Leita (Terri), Jerry Leita (Rhonda); sisters, Claudine Franz, Bobby Mitscherling (David), Mary Nell Murray (David), Karen Franz (Buddy); brother-in-law, Tony Schumann; along with numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
