McCabe, James John of Walpole, formerly of Roslindale, July 5, 2025. Beloved husband of Sheila (Hegarty) McCabe. Loving father of Patrick McCabe of Walpole. Brother of Eileen McCabe of Lynn, Patricia Stratton and her husband Christopher of Duxbury, and Mary Cassiano and her husband Jesus of FL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. James was a pilar in many people's lives, he left a long-lasting impression on everyone he met. His kindness and generosity never went unnoticed; James was always putting other people's needs before his own while never asking for anything in return. His contagious, fun-loving personality lit up every room he walked in. Hockey was his passion as he was an avid fan and loved coaching. He is loved and will be missed beyond measure. Visiting Hours at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury on Thursday, July 10th from 4-8pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Friday, July 11th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of James may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation at https://t2t.org (Recipient's email: [email protected]).

James will be so very missed...to so many. He was always there for my parents, son and me. He was there for everyone. I don´t think I k have ever known anyone with a bigger heart. We should all use James as a model of how we should care for each other.
Pat and Sheila, I am sending you my love. I am just a phone call away.
