Augusta, GA – James L Person, 85, of Augusta, GA entered into rest on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
Born in Buena Vista, Georgia on March 28, 1939, to the late Harrison Person and Margeret Holt. James was a beloved Husband and Father, grandfather and well loved in is community who enriched the lives of many people who knew him. He was a professional man who worked in construction as a heavy machine operator.
James is survived by his daughters, Ms. Melisa Allen and Ms. Mary Ann Woodard both of Atlanta, and son Christopher (Denise) Person of Augusta; sisters, Elizabeth Chapman Cartersville, GA and Annie Lee Williams of Augusta, GA; brothers, Jerry Charles, of Augusta, GA, Ernest Charles of Chattanooga, TN and Harold (Annie Mae) Person of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Christopher Person Jr, DeAndrea Douthit, Jamil Allen, Erika Camera, Rickey Camera, Robert Woodward; one great-grandchild Tegan Douthit; and a host of nieces and nephews.
