James Thomas Proctor September 24, 1949 – July 30, 2025 James Thomas Proctor, 75, of Ringgold, Georgia, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born to the late William and Margaret Proctor in Chattanooga, Tennessee, James was a devoted resident of the Chattanooga and Northwest Georgia area. He was a proud member of Parkway Baptist Church in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, and a member of the Rossville Masonic Lodge. James dedicated over fifty-six years of his life to the Graphic Arts Industry, retiring from Fuji Film earlier this year. He found joy in working on his truck and motorcycles, but his greatest passion was caring for his yard and loved ones. His love for his wife and family was the foundation of his life. He cherished his granddaughters, Taylor and Brooklyn, and treasured every moment they shared. James was a kind, faithful, and loving man-an exemplary husband, father, and grandfather. His warmth, generosity, and love will be dearly missed by all who knew him. As we remember him, we celebrate the beautiful life he led and the enduring legacy of love he leaves behind. James is preceded in death by his son, Kevin Lee Proctor; parents, William and Margaret Proctor; and brothers, Edward Proctor, Donnie Proctor, and Ronnie Proctor. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of fifty-six years, Elaine Proctor of Ringgold, Georgia; son, Jamie (Chasidy) Proctor of Jacksonville, Texas; brother, Pastor Bill Proctor of Rossville, Georgia; and several cherished nieces and nephews. The family has arranged for a time to remember and honor James. Friends and family are invited to join us on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. A graveside service, a time to celebrate James's life, will be held at Lakewood Memorial Gardens-South, 325 Greens Lake Road, Rossville, Georgia, on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. David Sampson and Pastor Bill Proctor officiating. The family appreciates your prayers and support during this difficult time. An Online guest book can be found at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com. W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, is handling the funeral arrangements.

I worked with James for many years at Fuji and realized the first time I met him, that he was an incredible person. He was a joy to work with and be around. He took me to my first Waffle House! He will be greatly missed. He made this world a better place by being in it.

I was so very sorry to hear the loss of James and wanted to extend my most sincere sympathy. My name is Nancy and was fortunate to work with James for 20+ years at Fujifilm. I too took the "early retirement package" offered by the company a few months ago. James brought a little more positivity and manners to the Fujifilm office in Hanover Park for equipment demonstrations. It sounds like James and I share the love of taking care of the yard. I´ve included a picture of a portion of our yard. I have planted a peach tree and are dedicating it to James. Wishing you strength sorting this difficult.
