James Andrew Ross, 67 of Garrison, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025 in Garrison, TX. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday 13, 2025 at Nacogdoches Vineyard.
James Andrew Ross, III, also known as Andy by his family and friends, was a relatively simple man. Born in Rusk, Tx and raised in Mt. Enterprise, Tx to James Andrew Ross, Jr. and Ellen Olene Ross on December 21, 1957.
He loved playing bass guitar. He was a bass player in various bands in his younger years but ultimately found his calling playing on the worship team at Nacogdoches Vineyard Church. He was a very devoted husband to Brenda, married in 1981, and did everything to make their life together filled with love and happiness. He was also a devoted father to his 3 children. He was a kind and caring man not easily angered or bothered by much. He had a servant's heart and was always quick to help anyone in need. Andy was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Andy is survived by his wife of 44 years, Brenda Lee Ross of Garrison; son, James Aaron Ross & wife, Kendra of Carthage; grandson, James Abel Ross of Carthage; granddaughter, Reci Jane Mathers of Nacogdoches; sister, Pamela Lunsford of Mt. Enterprise; brother, Randy Neil Ross & wife, Judy Ann of Garrison; his nephews, Nacogdoches Vineyard Church family and numerous other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Andrew Ross Jr. (2001) & Ellen Olene Ross (2004); daughter, Mandy Nicole Ross (2003); and son, Jared Logan Ross (2019).
