James Schmidt Obituary

James Vincent Schmidt, formerly of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away June 12, 2025, in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. He was born January 7, 1934, to George Schmidt and Helen Biscobing Schmidt.
One of his favorite things to do after retirement was to write poetry inspired by the Holy Spirit. 'Poetry from Above' was a book that he wrote about the Lord, and 'Pigtails About His Wife' was one of his most beautiful poems, as they had known each other since they were children.
James was a stonemason all of his life until retirement. He worked with his father in his youth until he was old enough and started his own company. He would come home many times with his hands bleeding from his job. He was a very hard-working and dedicated man. He instilled values in his family and will be missed by all who knew him.
James is survived by his wife of 72 years, Joyce Schmidt, daughter, Sharon Wojcik, son Paul Schmidt, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sons: James, Robert, and Bradley Schmidt
