James "Jimmy" Taxiera, 39, of Bridgewater, died from a brief illness on Friday, July 25, 2025, at South Shore Hospital. He was the husband of Diana (Gavin) Taxiera for 13 years.

Born January 16, 1986, in Brockton, he was the son of James Taxiera and Ellen (O'Connor) Taxiera. Raised in Raynham, he graduated from Bridgewater-Raynham High School in 2004. He then graduated from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a degree in Engineering. He also served proudly in the United States Air Force Reserve.

Jimmy was an Engineer at Northeast Innovations Group (NEIG). He enjoyed boating and spending time with his family, especially his nieces Adriana, Kylie, Teagan, Brynn and Tess. Jimmy was a very caring person who always put others first. He was passionate about helping friends and family when needed. All he asked for in return was a jar of great pickles, permission to rub your ears and a not-so-quick phone call.

He is survived by his wife, Diana (Gavin) Taxiera; his adored children, Abigail and Nolan; his parents, James Taxiera and Ellen (O'Connor) Taxiera; his sisters, Katelyn Viquez and her husband Geovanny and Erin Shuman and her husband Greg; his Father and Mother In-Law, Mark and Barbara Gavin; his Brother-In-Laws, Sean Gavin and Zachary Gavin; he is also survived by many nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St. (Rt28) West Bridgewater, on Friday, August 1st from 4:00PM-7:00PM. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 2nd at 10:00AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center St., Bridgewater. Interment will follow in Mount Prospect Cemetery, Bridgewater.

So sorry, Diana, to hear of your husband's passing. We will be praying for you and your family We're the ones who found you through Mary Seufert. Your package was delivered to us accidentally and we met at the police station to give it to you. You were so happy because it was a present for your husband's birthday. Shoes...I think?
May God comfort you with wonderful memories and surround you with loving family and friends.
