He was born June 24, 1947 in Scotland County son of the late James and Rose Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Bostick Williams; three children, Vanessa Bostick of Charlotte, James E. Williams Jr. of Parkton, and Christina Babcock and husband Daniel of Burgaw; five grandchildren, Elijah and Andrew Bostick, Dominique Williams, and Chase and Autumn Babcock; sister, Kathy Williams; and many nieces and nephews.
James loved to freshwater fish with family and friends. He was a very devout Christian. James was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date
