James Williamson Obituary

WILLIAMSON- Mr. James Roger Williamson age 85 of Briarwood Drive passed away Friday July 11, 2025 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native and former resident of Red Level, Alabama and a long time resident of Brewton, Alabama. Mr. Williamson was a member of the First Baptist Church Brewton, Alabama where he was in the adult choir, and senior adult choir. a 1958 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, and retired from the shipping department at Container Corporation with 43 years of service. Roger was a shade tree mechanic and helped many people through the years, and he enjoyed fishing. He especially enjoyed calling people at Christmas time.

Son- Brian Roger Williamson of Brewton, Alabama
Daughter- Susie Williamson Collins of Brewton, Alabama
Grandchildren- Faith Williamson, Anna Collins (Zach) Earley, Kim Williams, Michael Williams

Visitation will be held Monday afternoon July 14, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church Brewton, Alabama.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday afternoon July 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Brewton with Rev. Ron Headley and Rev. Cavin Cawthon officiating. Interment will follow in Elim Cemetery Brewton. Alabama with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
