Jana Sue Brumfield, 61, of Petersburg, passed away July 21, 2025 in Petersburg, IN. She was born December 11, 1963 to Gordon and Marcia (Whitehead) Gideon in Washington, IN. Jana graduated from Pike Central High School Class of 1981. She starred in the lead role in the play Annie Get Your Gun her senior year. She was a great singer and sang at many weddings during her lifetime. Jana was an amazing cook and enjoyed it very much. She was owner and operator of Nana's Kitchen in Petersburg, IN, what is now Caddy Shack. Jana was employed at Kimball in Jasper, IN for many years and went on to Pike Central to work as a teachers aid. She loved animals, bird watching, and candle making.

Jana is survived by her husband of 16 years, Richard Brumfield; mother, Marcia Gideon; sons, Chase (Ashley) Munday, Brandon (Stacey) Brumfield, and Justin (Natalie) Brumfield; daughters, Jayme (Clint) Brosmer, Jennifer (Jason) Woodall, Christine Gibson, and Nicole (Gregory) Witherspoon-Greiner; several grandchildren; one great grandchild on the way; brothers, Anthony (Angela) Gideon and Jarrod Gideon; sister, Patricia (Kerry) Onyett; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Gizmo, Louie, and Sassy.

Jana is preceded in death by her father, Gordon Gideon.

A celebration of life for Jana will take place at 11 AM EST on Saturday, August 9, with visitation time from 10 AM EST until servicetime at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
