Janet Rose Price Tetzloff, age 69, of Draper, Utah, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Janet lived a life rooted in kindness, generosity, and service.

Born on August 21, 1955, Janet was the daughter of the late Arthur James Price and Idell Price. She was also preceded in death by her brother David Price (Cheryl) and sister Kathy Price-Neuman (Charlie Neuman). Janet is survived by her devoted husband, Donald J. Tetzloff; her daughter, Alicia Tetzloff Garcia (Scott Bugay); her son, Christopher Tetzloff (Mayra); her cherished grandchildren, Isabelle Garcia, Isaac Garcia, Oliver Tetzloff and Ariyan Rahbari Salout; her son-in-law Devan Garcia; her son-in-law Marco Moreno; and her brothers Dan Price (Mary), Geno Price (Karen), and Todd Price (Linda). She was loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family as well.

Janet earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Westminster University and went on to become a passionate and dedicated professional educator. She touched the lives of countless students with her compassion, patience, and unwavering belief in the power of learning.

Beyond the classroom, Janet found joy in the simple pleasures of life — growing sunflowers in the summer, cheering on her beloved Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, and bringing her family and friends together for holidays. She made every celebration magical, especially Christmas and the Fourth of July, always giving more than she ever asked for in return. She never missed a chance to make someone feel seen and appreciated.

She was known for her gourmet coffee creations and amazing family recipes. Birds of all kinds had a special place in her heart, but she particularly loved hummingbirds. She would ensure her feeders were ready to go as soon as the hummingbird migration started each spring. Janet was also excellent at playing cards and taught her children and grandchildren the games she loved. It was seldom that anyone could beat her at canasta or Double Double. Janet also loved spending time with her cherished friends and would often run 5k races and meet up with them for meals.

When not engaging in her hobbies, you would find Janet supporting her grandchildren and students at their various activities and performances. She never missed an opportunity to support the children in her life.

Janet was a woman of deep faith and served as a Eucharistic Minister at her Catholic parish, Blessed Sacrament in Sandy, Utah, where she found joy and purpose in spiritual service and community.

Services to honor Janet’s life will be held at Blessed Sacrament Parish, located at 9757 S 1700 E, Sandy, UT 84092.
