In Loving Memory of Janice Arlene Engebretson November 27, 1937 – June 28, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Janice Arlene Engebretson, who departed this life peacefully on June 28, 2025, at the age of 87.
Janice was born on November 27, 1937, to George and Pearl (Saeter) Stroh in Elliott Township, North Dakota. She lived a life defined by unwavering love, compassion, and grace. Janice was a woman who always put others before herself-a quiet strength in our lives, offering comfort, encouragement, and kindness without ever asking for anything in return.
Whether she was preparing a warm meal, offering a listening ear, or simply being present through life's challenges, Mom made everyone feel cherished and supported. She raised her family with selfless devotion, teaching us the importance of kindness, humility, and resilience. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched-reflected in each act of kindness we pass on and in the love we continue to share.
Janice is lovingly remembered by her children-Mark, Scott, and Chris-her treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and the countless others whose lives were touched by her warmth and generosity. She is now reunited in eternal rest with her parents; her brothers, Norman and Kenneth; and her sisters, Mildred Stotts and Beverly Endersbe.
Though she may no longer walk beside us, her life remains a guiding example. We will always cherish the blessing of being loved by her.
