Sanders Funeral Care - CrawfordsvilleJanice Ann Hart, age 85, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026 at Ben Hur Nursing Home. She was born on December 2, 1940 to Ray and Geneva (Duell) Sykes in Danville, IL.
Janice was a graduate of Georgetown High School, Class of 1958. She was a seamstress at Steel Grip for over 30 years, retiring in 2017. Janice was also an excellent baker and made wedding cakes. She also loved dancing and was artistic with crafts and painting. Janice often enjoyed the outdoors and going fishing with the family.
Janice is survived by her 3 daughters, Tracy (Isai) Campos, Penny Royer Kopp, and Anna (Joshua Hannan) Fruits; 6 grandchildren, Jason (Kathy Jo) Jarvis, Christina (Addison) Schenk, Kara (Michael) Miller, Breanna (Tyler) Cline, Bodie (Riley) Royer, and Joshua Hannan, Jr; 5 great grandchildren, Emily and Cadence Jarvis, Stella and Scarlett Schenk and Oliver Cline; and her niece, Denise Dunlop. She was preceded by her parents and sister, Shirley Smith.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 from 4-6pm at Sanders Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street in Crawfordsville.
