Janie Torres Obituary
Janie Rios Torres was born March 28, 1940 in Dallas, Texas and passed from this life to be with our Heavenly Father on December 29, 2024 in Hutchins, Texas.
Janie was a beloved mom to all. She was surrounded by her family at her time of passing.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfred E. Torres; her parents, Ysidro and Gregoria Rios; her brother, Filimon Rios; and her great-grandson, Alejandro "Alex" Chavez.
Janie is survived by her three children, Genevieve Torres Zapata and husband Johnny, Martin Torres and wife Rosie, and Johnny Torres and wife Delicia; her grandchildren, Rachel, Alfred, Sylvia, Christopher, Gabriela, and Selena; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her brother; her three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
Janie was a strong woman who welcomed all into her home. She will be missed greatly. We love you deeply and dearly. Rest in eternal peace.
A celebration of Janie's life will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel in Lancaster with interment immediately following in Edgewood Cemetery, Lancaster.
