Jarilyn McCoy Obituary

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jarilyn "Jari" Sue McCoy, who left this world on July 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Jari was born on April 10, 1944, in Lansing, Michigan, to the late Stanley R. and Pauline V. (Peterson) Walker. She graduated from Grand Ledge High School in the Class of 1962 and went on to enjoy a fulfilling career as an Underwriter for Farm Bureau after beginning her journey as an Operator for Michigan Bell.
Jari was a devoted and faithful member of Central Free Methodist Church in Lansing, where she created many cherished memories with her friends during lively game nights and meaningful gatherings. Her passion for gardening and nurturing her beautiful flower beds reflected her love for life and all things beautiful. She will always be remembered for her warm smile, kind heart, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.
Jari is survived by her devoted daughter, Robin Kwilinski; son, Timothy McCoy; her cherished grandchildren, Sam Kwilinski, Hanna Kwilinski, and Dallas McCoy; and, brothers, Stanley Walker, Chuck (Darline) Walker; sister, Rita (Chet) Wright; She was preceded in death by: brother, Roy Walker; son-in-law, Timothy Kwilinski, and sister, Louise McCreery.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jari's life with a graveside service on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Wacousta Cemetery, Watertown Township, Clinton County, Michigan.
