Jayne Latshaw Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 27, 2025.
Jayne Layne Latshaw, 95, beloved wife of the late Warren Latshaw, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025, in Redmond, Washington. Born on February 9, 1930, in New Orleans, Louisiana, she led a life enriched by education, global experiences, and the many friends she met along the way.

Jayne graduated from McMain High School in New Orleans and earned a degree in education from Louisiana State University. Her dedication to teaching guided her to a role at Milne Boys Home in New Orleans, where she contributed to the lives of many young students.

Her journey extended far beyond her hometown. Alongside her husband, Warren Latshaw, Jayne lived abroad in Bogotá, Colombia, and later spent thirteen years in Saudi Arabia where they made numerous friends, many of whom became "family". Their time overseas was marked by exploration and cultural discovery as she and Warren traveled extensively together. Jayne's long life reflected a spirit of fun and curiosity. She was an excellent storyteller and loved to entertain.

Jayne is lovingly remembered by daughter, Pamela Ashman; son, Charles Ashman (Dedra); stepdaughter, Nancy Dickson (Wes); and stepson, Steven Latshaw (Lucy). She also leaves behind grandchildren Matthew Ashman, Lauren Ashman Baker, Warren Latshaw, Steven Latshaw, Jr., Patrick Duryea, Tanna Latshaw Bergeron, Janelle Dickson Mattull and Sean Dickson and numerous great grandchildren.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
