Jean Jankowski, age 78, was born in Sheboygan, WI, and passed away peacefully at home on July 9th. Throughout much of her adult life, Jean lived with and courageously fought multiple sclerosis. She was a kind, caring individual who touched many lives.
Jean served as a nurse in various roles at Theda Clark and St. Elizabeth's Hospitals. She found joy in spending time with her family, sewing, crafting, making cards, and especially in her cherished moments at Lake Poygan. What began as camping in the back of a pickup truck eventually led to building a home on the lakeside property. Jean loved looking out at her vibrant fuchsia plants, watching the hummingbirds visit, and gazing at the tranquil lake.
She will be deeply missed, and our memories of her will be treasured always. Jean is survived by her husband, Robert "Whitey"; her daughter, Stacy (Tim) Jenson; her son, Chad Jankowski; her sister, Joan Krueger; and five grandchildren: Travis Jankowski, Ellie Jankowski, Ava Jankowski, Samantha Jankowski, and Landon Jenson.
The family appreciates your thoughts and support during this time. In lieu of a service and in honor of Jean's memory, the family encourages you to take some time for self-care or to enjoy moments with those you love-do what makes you happy.
The family is sincerely grateful to the staff at ThedaCare, home care providers, and hospice care for their compassionate support.
