Funeral services for Mrs. Jean Johnson, 77, of Henderson, formerly of Mt. Enterprise, will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in the chapel at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Bro. Marshall Moorhead officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, July 22, at Bennett Cemetery in Apple Springs under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson passed from this life on July 17, 2025, in Henderson. She was born September 10, 1947, in Lufkin and grew up in Groveton. Jean dedicated her life to helping others as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for many years before her retirement. She loved to travel and took many trips with her husband Lloyd as he would travel for business. She was also a gifted seamstress and a wonderful cook. Additionally, Mrs. Johnson enjoyed tracing her ancestry, was a big fan of Sam Elliott and Alan Jackson, and liked attending Bluegrass music festivals. As a Christian woman of faith, she loved Southern Gospel music and was a long-time member of Sulphur Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother Lovie Marie Skidmore, father William Hoytt Tiner, granddaughter Ashton Glover, sisters Martha Tiner Pitzer and Gladys Mays, mother-in-law Cassie Pearl Johnson, and brother-in-law William Mayfield. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Lloyd Johnson of Henderson; her children, daughter Carolyn Sue Silva and husband Cayetano Silva of Sugarland, daughter Carla Hensley and husband Kenny Hensley of Conroe, daughter Christie Smith and fiancé Corey Jimerson of Mt Enterprise, son Brandon Smith and wife Hollie Smith of Lovelady, daughter Melissa Johnson and her husband John Smith of Humble, daughter Cassie Nichols and husband Jeff Nichols of Willis, and son Lloyd Richard Johnson Jr. and wife Darcy of Mt Enterprise; sisters, Melba Tiner Mayfield of Livingston, Margaret Oliver and husband Larry of Lufkin, and Bessie Goodin and husband Donny of Lufkin; grandchildren, Devin Trero, Kanyon Johnson, Hayden Trero, Cody and Stephanie Silva, Casey Silva and Randa Patrick, Terica and Doug Starr, Justin and Shelby Nichols, Jared and Hailey Nichols, Collin and Alantae Johnson , Khaya Woodward , Kamryn Hensley, Quinton Hensley, Kira Smith, Blake and Brody Smith, Skyler and Spenson Jimerson; 8 great-grandchildren; as well as multiple nieces and nephews and many life-long friends. Pallbearers will be Brandon Smith, Doug Starr, Devin Trero, Justin Nichols, Jared Nichols, Quinton Hensley, Blake Smith, and Collin Johnson. Honorary pallbearer will be Brody Smith.
