Jean Streit Obituary

Jean was a member of York Bluff Baptist Church (formerly First Baptist Church, Sheffield), where she served faithfully in the nursery for many years, and was also a member of the WMU. Jean was also a member of the Salvation Army Auxiliary and Muscle Shoals District Service League. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Glover "Bud" Streit; sister, Evelyn Corbett Beaird; and parents, Louis Browne and Ada Sylvia Parenti Corbett.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Gail Streit Haddock (Billy) and Nancy Streit Wempe (Gregory); sister, Nancy Corbett Qualls; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to Columbia Cottage of Florence, 2373 Roberts Lane, Florence, AL 35630.
