Jeannine C. Rodriguez (12/04/1943 – 8/03 /2024 )
Jeannine C. Rodriguez has completed her circle of life and has gone on to the Lord. Jeannine was born in Alencon, Orne, Basse-Normandie, France on Dec. 4, 1943 and moved to the U.S. in 1946 with her mother Geanette Heleine Correa at the age of two years on the SS. Santa Paula to live in San Antonio, Texas.
Jeannine married Ted Rodriguez in 1964 and they had four sons, Ted Rodriguez, Jr. and wife Michelle of La Pryor, Charles Paul Rodriguez of San Antonio, James Rodriguez and wife Teresa of San Antonio, Matthew Joseph Rodriguez and wife Jackie of San Antonio.
Jeannine was an active parishioner at St. John’s the Evangelist in San Antonio and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in La Pryor. Her faith and love of God kept her strong through life’s challenges. She always had an open door and warm food for her family. She loved laughing and visiting with her nieces and nephews and no matter the distance, always looked forward to seeing them. She leaves this world with her circle of life filled with all the colors of love and gratitude. Her final prayer was that the Lord bless her family and friends and keep them safe.
Jeannine is survived by her four sons as well as her sisters Emeteria Correa of Merrillville, Indiana, Francisca (Don) Phelps of Hammond, Indiana, Rosalinda Correa of San Antonio and her brother, Martin (Alice) Correa of San Antonio. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Katherine V. Rodriguez of Glasgow, Scotland, Gerald Burns of Seguin, Vanessa Rodriguez Avalos (Eduardo) of San Antonio, Ted Rodriguez, III (Sarah) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Marisa A. Rodriguez of San Antonio, Matthew Garcia of Austin, Zachary Robles (Andrea) of La Vernia, Nicholas Robles, Emily E. Rodriguez, Stephen Rodriguez, Kendrick Meyer, Alexzander Joseph Rodriguez, Giannah Rodriguez, all of San Antonio and great-grandchildren Camila Antonieta Avalos, Noah Robles, Nathaniel Robles and Nicael Robles all of San Antonio, Nathan Burns and Benjamin Burns of Seguin.
Jeannine was preceded in death by her mother Geanette Heleine Correa.
Visitors will be received on Friday, August 9th from 2:00 pm to 9:00 p.m. at Rushing -Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Uvalde, Texas with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 10th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 618 N. Burton Avenue, La Pryor, Texas 78872.
