Jeffery Donald Carlson, age 57, passed away on January 5, 2025, in Murray, Utah, surrounded by his wife, daughters, and sons-in-law. He was born on February 3, 1967, to Curtis Harlow Carlson and LaRue Carlson in Murray, Utah. On August 19, 1989, Jeff married LeAnn Goodrich in the Salt Lake Temple.
Jeff graduated from Jordan High School, where he played football for all four years. He loved the game and continued to enjoy watching it throughout his life. Jeff had a great passion for the outdoors, particularly fishing, hunting, and camping with family and friends. Many cherished memories are shared, often accompanied by funny stories of things that didn’t quite go as planned. His favorite camping companions were his grandchildren, whom he adored deeply.
Another of Jeff's great joys was watching his five daughters play softball. He spent countless hours at the fields, supporting them with his love and enthusiasm. Jeff was also an active member of the Bonnett Ball Board for many years.
As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jeff served in many capacities, including in the Sunday School, as a Scout Master for Cub Scouts, and in the Young Men’s program.
Jeff is survived by his loving mother, LaRue Carlson; his devoted wife of 35 years, LeAnn Carlson; his children Courtney Carlson, Shalie (Statton) Isaacson, Cheyenne (Jeremias) Arnold, Sierra Carlson, and Calista Carlson; his siblings Diane (Tim) Auker, Randy Carlson, Kerry Carlson, and Ellen Carlson; his mother-in-law Geneil Goodrich; and his siblings-in-law Laurie (Kelly) Snarr, Kyle (Angelique) Goodrich, Lyle Goodrich, and Justin Goodrich. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Damien Liest, Dominic Garcia, Cassandra Garcia, Chloe Garcia, Bryton Isaacson, twins Caylie and Carlie Garcia, and River Isaacson, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Carlson, and his father-in-law, Ralph Goodrich.
