Jeffrey A. Schultz, 68, of Crescent City passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at his residence. He was born on October 17, 1956 in Sullivan, Indiana, the eldest son of Edward and Victorine (Kerouac) Schultz. Jeff married Wendy Meredith on December 8, 1979 in Herscher.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Wendy; one son, Kevin (Kacie) Schultz of Merrill, Wisconsin; one daughter, Amy (PJ) Donlon of Munster, Indiana; and four grandchildren, Charlotte and Fisher Schultz and Emily and Gavin Donlon. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and his youngest son, Randy Schultz.
Jeff and Wendy were the owner-operators of Schultz Meats, Inc in Gilman and J&W Transport, Inc in Crescent City. He also spent many years serving local communities as a manager for Doc's Drugs. Jeff was a member of Kankakee Valley Bassmasters and competed in many fishing tournaments. He enjoyed regular fishing trips with family and friends throughout the United States and Canada. Above all, his grandchildren were the center of his world.
His memory will be cherished by his very special 103 year-old aunt, Evelyn Bauer of Herscher; his six siblings, Jeanne (Mike) Foltz of Cabery, Doug (Karen) Schultz of St. Joseph, Missouri, Debra (Tim) Chmielowiec of Herscher, Greg (Anne) Schultz of Bourbonnais, Monica Schultz of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Shari Schultz Collins of Herscher; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family's wishes.
