Passed away on June 21, 2025 at the age of 88.
He is survived by his wife 63 years, Anna Donigian; daughters, Melissa (Kevin) Ahern and Rebecca (William) Ottman; grandchildren, Jeremiah and Sofie; niece, Christina Bittman and nephew, Matthew Donigian both of CT.
Jerry was a proud veteran of the 82nd Airborne of the Army. He earned his doctorate at Penn State and worked as a professor at SUNY Brockport for 30 years in the counselor education department. During his time at SUNY Brockport he authored six books. He also founded his private practice as a licensed marriage and family therapist. In addition to spending time with family you would always find Jerry working in his yard. He looked forward to his time on the golf course especially with his sons-in-law. Jerry's home baked pies were the highlight of holidays and family celebrations.
A private celebration will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to RRH-Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center Fund and American Heart Association in Jerry's memory.
