Jeri Newcomb Obituary

Jeri Dawn Newcomb, 62 crashed the gates of Heaven and ran straight into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, June 28 2025.
Jeri was born one of twins on February 13, 1963 to Lannie Davis Newcomb and Elizabeth Anne (Jordan) Newcomb in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is survived by her twin sister Terry Dawn Metzger and husband Dennis of Georgetown, Texas, brother Lanny Newcomb and wife Krista of Seminole, Oklahoma, sister Jeannie Brewer and husband Brian of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; her Uncle Gene Newcomb and wife Sharon, Aunts Gail Bright and Susan Jordan. She was especially close with Cousins Verla Bright-Tapley and Andra Jordan, but diligently maintained relationships with her host of Cousins, Nieces and Nephews who she loved so very much. She made friends everywhere she went and truly treasured them all.
Jeri was a graduate of Mustang High School in Oklahoma and Paris Junior College in Texas where she was awarded a degree in Horology (Watchmaking Craftsman) and certification in Jewelry. She worked as a master Watchmaker for Rolex in Dallas, Texas. In her second lifetime career, she was an outstanding Floral Designer, working for Florists in Dallas, Texas and the Oklahoma City Metro area.
Jeri was an avid softball player, an accomplished catcher. Even after her physical limitations no longer allowed her to play she followed the National competitions. She loved watching football with her best friend of over 40 years, Connie Parsons of Rush Springs, Oklahoma; she loved to fish and had recently realized her dream of purchasing an Airstream to travel the map with her beloved dog Piper. Jeri always had a story to share. She was funny and sometimes quiet - a unique individual, extremely loyal and thoughtful - she lived with a purpose to enjoy the simple things in life.
It was her wish to be cremated. Her ashes will be interred next to her parents at a Graveside service on Tuesday, July 8 at 10:00 am in Resthaven Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
