Jerid’s life began on June 13, 1998 in Fort Polk, LA. As an Army “brat”, he spent his childhood in 5 states and 2 countries. He graduated from Marion High School in 2016 and decided there was a lot more of the world he wanted to see. He began working in the carnival business and spent 7 years travelling all across the country and Puerto Rico. He is survived by his father Jason (Rebecca) Schafers of Marion and his mother Tia Schafers of Colorado; his sisters Bridgette (Ryan) Pugh of Arizona, Amanda (Nick) Dierkop of Washington, and Haiti Schafers of Marion; his brothers David, Stevan, and Sam of Marion; his nephews (Owen and Ellis), and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jerid passed away on June 27, 2025 in Ohio. He will be laid to rest in Marion Cemetery on July 19, 2025 at 2 p.m. with a graveside service for family and friends.
