Jerimy Schilz Obituary

Schilz, Jerimy Todd, age 55, of Ann Arbor, MI, transitioned peacefully to his eternal home on November 15, 2024.
Jerimy was raised in Dexter, MI, where he participated in several high school sports; his favorite being baseball. He had a great pitching arm. After graduating, with honors, he attended Eastern Michigan University and ITT Tech. Jerimy worked for many years at Braun-Brumfield in Ann Arbor, MI, and later moved to MSX in Dearborn, MI and Print Café in Pittsburgh, PA.
Jerimy's many illnesses sidelined his hopes and dreams, but he used that adversity to make it his life's mission to help his friends as they struggled with their own health issues.
Jerimy had a love for all sports, but his passion was U of M football, as evidenced by his extensive collection of their memorabilia.
Jerimy will be long remembered for his kindness, compassion, wit, and bringing joy to his family and numerous friends, whom he dearly loved. He brought out the best in people and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Deborah Schilz; his birth father, Jerry Osgood; brothers, Donald J. Schilz, Jr., Michael (Kristen) Schilz; his niece, Sophia, whom he adored; and his constant, feline companion, Luna. Jerimy was preceded in death by his father, Donald J. Schilz, Sr.; grandparents, Melvin and Doris Becker, James and Margaret Schilz; and his uncles, Tim Schilz, Melvin Becker Jr., and Don Becker.
Family and friends are welcome to join in celebration of Jerimy's life on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 12pm, with gathering before from 11-12pm at Nie Family Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Rd., Ann Arbor, Michigan 48108. Burial will take place directly following the service at Forest Hill Cemetery, 415 Observatory St, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104.
