Jerold Wilson Kittrell, age 77, passed away on July 10, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was affectionately named Pop by his grandchildren. Pop enjoyed sitting on his front porch with the love of his life, Virginia, taking the dogs on a venture into the woods, and spending time with his family. He loved the Lord and was a decades-long member and deacon at East Salem Baptist Church. He was also a proud veteran of the 3rd Infantry Division of the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mervin Kittrell and Jewel Norsworthy Kittrell; siblings, Joyce Avera, Dale Kittrell, Johnny Kittrell, and Curtis Kittrell.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 54 years, Virginia Ann Coaker Kittrell; children, Cheryl K. (Randy) Pierce, David (Heather) Kittrell, and Mike (Courtney) Kittrell; grandchildren, Josh Cook, Avery Kittrell, Britt Kittrell, Matt Kittrell, and Reese Kittrell; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be Monday, July 14, 2025 from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Moments Funeral Home, Leakesville. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Mickey McLendon, Rev. Greg Barker and son-in-law Randy Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Kittrell Cemetery, State Line, MS. Charlie Kittrell, Jasen Denmark, Chad Denmark, Stacy Cook, Darell Johnson, and Tony Williams will serve as pallbearers.
