Jerry Lynn Brown, affectionately known as JB, passed away on August 11, 2025, at his residence in the company of his loving family. Born on November 2, 1943, in Whitewright, Texas, JB led a life defined by dedication, love, and service.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, JB carried the values of commitment and integrity throughout his life. He dedicated many years to the textile industry and later worked at Stabilus, from which he retired. Beyond his professional accomplishments, JB was particularly proud of his family, cherishing every moment spent with his beloved wife of over 59 years, Edith Alexander Brown, his devoted daughter, Stephanie Bowen, and his wonderful granddaughters, Hunter Venditti and her husband Adam, Alexandria Bowen, and Emma Bowen. Additionally, he is survived by his brother, Woody Brown, and sister, Linda Cameron, along with many wonderful friends.
A family man at heart, JB's greatest joys came from the time spent with his loved ones, especially his granddaughters, who brought him immense pride and happiness. His kind spirit was evident in the way he embraced his church community, as a member of First Assembly Church, where he held deep affection for his pastor and church family. JB enjoyed a variety of hobbies during his life, including playing golf, fishing, swimming, and following NASCAR and sports, with a particular passion for football.
JB will be remembered for his warm personality and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy of devotion to family and faith will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same location from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with Reverend Dennis Boyce officiating.
