Jerry Dean Obituary

Jerry Jokèe Dean, 41, born to Charlene and Jerry Dean on August 3rd, 1983, took his eternal rest on July 2nd, 2025, at Rainey Hospice of the Upstate, Anderson SC.
Jerry, affectionately called "BooBoot" by his family and friends, was a graduate of Crescent High School. During his years there, he served as Drum Major. He also attended
Johnson And Wales Cullinary School. He Delivered food to the less privileged on Holidays with the NC Police Department. He made many life long friends & will be
remembered by them for his calm voice, his ability to make anyone laugh, and his comforting smile. He never met a stranger. Jerry set out on his life's journey twenty years ago, but for the last three, God saw fit to return him back home, to his family.
Jerry leaves behind to cherish many memories, His loving and devoted mother, Charlene Dean of the home, father, Jerry Dean, of Anderson SC. Sister, Shennell Dean, of Anderson SC, Brother, Jerrell (Chemecka) Dean of Lancaster PA, Uncles, Clinton Groves and Rodney Dean, of Anderson SC, and Mark Dean of Greenwood SC. Aunts, Brenda Evans, Teresa Dean, and Margo Dean, all of Anderson SC. Nieces Jasmine Aiken, of Anderson SC, and Raleigh Dean of Lancaster, PA. Nephews, Terrence & Quinterius Aiken, both of Anderson, SC and Keyshawn Dean, of Lancaster PA, three very special cousins, Tara Groves and Contessa Groves, of Anderson Sc, and Jared (Dreshawn) Groves of Iva SC, 7 great nieces & nephews and a host of other relatives, family, and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his Great Grandmothers, Lulla Belle Stevinson, and Mary Beaty Groves. Grandmothers Lettie Lee Jones and Wilton Dean. Grandfathers, Marion Stevinson, Bill Jones, and Rev. George Dean. Uncles, Marion Groves, and Michael Dean. Cousins, Derrick, and Marion Groves Jr, and Paris Gantt.
The service for Mr. Dean will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Shiloh Baptist Church, Anderson, SC. Interment will follow in the church's cemetery.
Public Viewing: 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Unity Mortuary of Anderson
