Jerry Wayne Fish, 73, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025.
He was born June 23, 1952 in Pattonsburg, Missouri, to Cloyd W. and Frances A. (Pugh) Fish.
Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam as an Air Traffic Controller, then later earned his bachelor's degree in history and humanities from Northwest Missouri State University.
He had a passion for cooking and worked as chef for the Ritz-Carlton in Kansas City and many other places for over 30 years.
Jerry also enjoyed listening to music and was an avid reader.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, William "Bill" Fish
Survivors include his siblings, Connie Brogan, Charles Fish, Careon Thompson, Carl Fish, Dorothy Lewis, David Fish, and Chuck Fish; nieces, Katie Shobe and Lisa Johnson plus many other nieces and nephews.
Natural Farewell under the direction of Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project or the National Indian Education Association. Online guest book and obituary at www.meierhoffer.com.
