Jerry Hupp Obituary

On March 27, 2025 Jerry C. Hupp, (88), passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family.
A private interment only will be held with the family.
Jerry was born on March 2, 1937 to the late Evelyn (Johnson) and Otto Hupp in Montgomery, Iowa. He was the only son, middle of three children born to Evelyn & Otto. Jerry also had two half-sisters. He was preceded in death by his sisters Jean Ann Smith & Becky Duffy. He is survived by his sisters Rita Cue & Sue Menke.
Jerry was raised and graduated high school in Swea City, Iowa. After graduation he worked in road construction during which time he met and married his sweetheart, Vera Quinn, on July 1, 1967. Jerry also worked as the Swea City Superintendent for 23 years and retired in 1999. Jerry and Vera moved to Mankato, Minnesota in 2011 to be closer to their sons. They were married 49 years and 10 months before Vera's passing in 2017. Jerry was an avid life-long reader and Chairman of the Mankato RealLife Social Committee for 9 years.
During their life together Jerry and Vera raised two sons: Jay (Eva) in Mankato, MN and Patrick (Roxanne) in Minneapolis, MN. He is also survived by his three grandchildren: Jacob in Mexico City, Mexico; Cole and Claire in Mankato, MN.
The family would like to thank the Ecumenical Hospice team, especially Dani White for her continued care. We are also so very grateful to the Care Cooperative team whose care allowed Jerry to remain at home. Thank you so much to Diane, Terry, Barb, Glory, Amanda & most especially his daughter-in-law Eva.
