DUE TO THE WEATHER AND THE OUTAGES IN THE AREA THE FAMILY HAS DECIDED TO RESCHEDULE THE SERVICE FOR MONDAY, APRIL 7, 2025 AT 2 PM AT RATLIFF CITY FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH.
Services for Jerry Edward Lockwood, Sr., 57, of Countyline are scheduled at the Ratliff City First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Johnston and Jerry Paul Gunsolus officiating. Interment will follow at Alma Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ratliff City.
Jerry was born September 4, 1967, at Ardmore, to the late Mr. Jerry Lee Lockwood and Mrs. Mary Elaine (Gunsolus) Pruitt. He departed this life March 31, 2025, at Oklahoma City, OK.
Jerry's journey through life began in the close-knit community of Ratliff City, where he attended school at Fox and laid the foundation for many lifelong friendships. On October 5, 1984, he married the love of his life, Christy Loftin. Together, they built a warm and loving home in Countyline, Oklahoma, where they raised their two sons, Jerry Edward Lockwood, Jr. and Christopher Dean Lockwood. Professionally, Jerry devoted more than 40 years of his career to the oilfield industry, beginning at Ray Clour Well Service, then working as a packer hand at Thomas Acid and later retiring from Rifle Oil Tools. Throughout his time in the oilfield, he gained experience working as a Rig Operator, Pump Truck Driver, Fisherman, and Packer Hand, showcasing his work ethic and commitment to excellence. Outside of his professional endeavors, Jerry was a man of many passions. He enjoyed cheering on the University of Oklahoma football team. Cooking for his family brought him immense joy, as did riding his Harley through the scenic Oklahoma landscapes. Jerry was also a golf enthusiast and cherished the moments he spent vacationing with his family, gardening, and attending concerts. Jerry's faith was an integral part of his life, and he was a faithful attendee at the Mt. View Full Gospel Church in Foster, Oklahoma. His grandchildren were the highlight of his life. Jerry's presence will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his legacy will continue to live on through the memories shared by his family and friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Jerry Lee Lockwood and Mary (Gunsolus) Pruitt.
