A memorial service for Jerry “Mac” McLaughlin, 76, will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2025 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S Spruce St., Vivian, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Ernest Bonnevier.
Jerry was born on February 12, 1949 in Ashland, Louisiana to Charles Edward McLaughlin and Ocia Page McLaughlin and passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He graduated North Caddo High School in Vivian and served in the United States Army from April 1969-April 1970. He was stationed in Germany with a rank of E-4 Specialist and received an honorable discharge. He married Dianna Posey Bonnevier on April 30, 2016. Jerry loved the Lord with all of his heart and he loved singing with his wife, Dianna, at church as often as they could.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dianna Posey Bonnevier; sister, Rebecca Batts and brother, Randolf McLaughlin. Left to cherish his memory are step-sons, Ernest Bonnevier and wife, Rebecca and William Bonnevier and wife, Tammy; step-daughter, Shannon Bonnevier; brother-in-law, Kenneth Batts; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made in Jerry’s name to Northwest Louisiana Veterans Home, 3130 Arthur Teague Parkway, Bossier City, Louisiana 71112.
