Jerry Uzzell Obituary

Services for Jerry Wade Uzzell, 73, of Tyler will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Brother Took Martin officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date. Jerry was born September 29, 1951, in Tyler, Texas to Robert C. and Marion Uzzell. Jerry passed away on July 18, 2025, at Hospice Homeplace of East Texas. Jerry was a lifelong Tyler resident attending Douglas Elementary, Roberts Junior High and John Tyler High School in Tyler. Jerry had a long and rewarding career in sales with Motion Industries Company. Jerry had a lifelong passion for sports of any and all kinds; his greatest claim to fame was in the 4th grade, Tyler Boys Baseball, playing for the "Dodgers" and hitting 3 consecutive homeruns in one game advancing his team to the championship finals berth with a whopping 26-1 romp over the "Woodchucks". He absolutely loved his UT Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, and the Texas Rangers. Jerry leaves behind a legacy of laughter and many interesting adventures. His greatest role in life was being "Pop" to his grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Robert C. and Marion Uzzell, brother Robert, wife Michelle Uzzell, and son Travis Uzzell. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Beverly Uzzell; son Steffan and wife Merie Uzzell; daughter Holly Roberson and Kenneth Hamilton; daughter Hannah Roberson: grandchildren: Caeden, Bentley, Audrey, Paris, Charleigh, Mollia, Riley, Hunter, Sophie, Dakota and Weston: brother and sister-in-law Lonny and Kelley Uzzell; and sister-in-law Sandra Uzzell.
