Jesse Adami Obituary

Freer, Texas ADAMI November 21, 1946 – April 30, 2025 Jesse James Adami Sr., 78, passed away peacefully at his home on the Adami Ranch on April 30, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Jesse lived a full and meaningful life rooted in faith, family, and the South Texas land he loved. Born and raised on the Adami Ranch, Jesse spent his entire life on the land that shaped him. He worked as a dedicated pipeline specialist for 27 years, but his true calling was being a lifelong rancher. Whether tending to his cattle, caring for deer, or exploring the land for arrowheads, Jesse found joy and purpose in the everyday ways of ranch life. Jesse especially loved riding his Kabota through the ranch, teaching his grandchildren how to hunt and fish, and hosting big family gatherings for Easter and his birthday-occasions that brought everyone together on the land that meant so much to him. Jesse's legacy will live on through the generations he guided, the lessons he taught, and the land he so deeply cared for. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Adami Jr. and Enriqueta (Lichtenberger) Adami; three siblings, Robert Adami, Joe (+Lillie) Adami, and Nellie Adami Ramirez. Jesse cherished time with his family above all. He was married to Patricia Adami for 19 years, and together they built a life centered around love and shared values. He was the proud father of five children: Audrey (Rudy) Garza, Jesse James Adami Jr., Jacki (Roger) Canales, Rebecca Adami, and Ashley Adami, with his first wife, Patsy Miles. Stepfather to Joe Martinez and Vicky (George) Lucero. He was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and happiness. He is also survived by his brother, Daniel (Chris) Adami III; sister-in-law, Aida Adami; brother-in-law, George Ramirez. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2, at Garza Funeral Home in Freer, Texas with a Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. that day. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Freer, Texas. Interment will follow at Adamiville Family Cemetery in Freer, Texas.
