Jill Ann Brinker, 69, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025 with her family by her side. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Jill was born on January 20, 1956, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Wilbert Perry Sr. and Mary "Joann" Perry.
Jill dedicated her life to caring for others-both in her work and in her home. She worked for over 40 years as a skilled and respected lab technician at Bellaire and Wetzel County Hospitals. She was a devoted member of Rock Hill Presbyterian Church in
Bellaire, Ohio, Jill found strength and community in her faith.
At home, Jill was the heart of her family. She was a whirlwind of energy- always busy, always giving. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and delicious smells, as she found joy in baking treats for those she loved. Her cakes, cookies, and holiday spreads were legendary and made family gatherings feel extra special. A passionate traveler, Jill explored new places with her husband, children, and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever. She especially treasured time spent with her 8 adored grandchildren, who brought endless joy to her life.
Whether cheering them on from the sidelines, teaching them all her secrets to baking, or simply cuddling up for a story, she poured love into every moment with them. Her friendship was a gift. Loyal, generous, and full of life, Jill could be counted on for a heartfelt conversation, a dozen of delicious cupcakes, or just a helping hand. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who were lucky enough to know her.
Jill is preceded in death by her beloved father, Wilbert Perry Sr.; father-in-law, Don Brinker and grandson, Anderson Allen Doak. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be cherished by her surviving family: her mother, Mary "Joanne" Perry; mother-in-law, Marguerite Brinker; her husband, Terry Brinker, with whom she shared 54 wonderful years together and 48 years of marriage. Their enduring partnership served as an inspiration to all who knew them; her son, Nathan Brinker, along with his wife Rachelle, of St. Clairsville, Ohio; her daughter, Andrea Doak, and her husband Drew, of Simpsonville, South Carolina; her daughter, Michelle Darby, and her husband Justin, of Hendersonville, Tennessee; her eight adored grandchildren; Coen and Eilyn Brinker; Kade, Reed and Kase Doak and Lawson, Lyla and Lainey Darby; her loving sister Jan Berentz; and loving brothers Webbie and Wally Perry.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jill's life during visitation on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 441 37th Street,
Bellaire, Ohio. A second visitation will take place on Friday, July 11th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home where a funeral service will follow at 12 p.m., officiated by Pastor David Demarest. Jill will be laid to rest at Rock Hill Cemetery.
