Jimmie Arnold Scott, 86, of Jessieville, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2025. He was born December 22, 1938 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to J.B Scott and Mae Oma Scott.
Jimmie dedicated over 60 years of his life to preaching the Gospel. He was ordained as a minister on October 27, 1967, and faithfully pastored several churches throughout the years. In addition to his ministry, Jimmie served his community in multiple ways - he spent more than 30 years as a school bus driver for Jessieville Schools and over 30 years as a Deputy Sheriff for Garland County.
Jimmie loved traveling across Arkansas and found great joy in God's creation, especially while fox hunting. His greatest delight, however, was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, making lasting memories with the family he cherished deeply.
Survivors include his son Jimmy Dale (Theresa) Scott of Buckville; daughter, Lisa (Brian) Sharp of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Colt (Lauren) Sharp of Buckville, Cheyenna Sharp of Branson, Rowdy (Jimi Ann) Scott of Story; great-grandchildren, Caden Herd, Ellie Sharp; Emma Sharp, and Poppy Jean Elizabeth Scott; Fletcher Scott; sister Beverly Scott of Jessieville; Dorothy Lynch of Mountain Pine; Sister-in-law Linda Scott of Mountain Pine; sister-in-law, Jewel Stogsdill of Jessieville; several, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his loving spouse of 56 years, Vera Scott; parents J.B and Mae Oma Scott and brother Donnie Scott.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m.; Friday, June 6th at Jessieville 1st Baptist Church.
A celebration of Jimmie's life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 7th at Jessieville Performing Arts Center. Officiants are Bro. Roger Harper, Bro. George Vincent, Bro. Johnny Bratton and Bro. Derek Combs.
Burial to follow service at Scott Cemetery in Mountain Pine, Arkansas.
