Jimmy Ray Short, 74, of Denton, entered into glory with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Hospice of High Point.
Jim was born January 17, 1951, in West Virginia to Jennie Lee Harris and the late Arden Short. Jim was a faithful follower of Christ. His greatest joy in life was the time and memories he made with his beloved family. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend; he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra “Sandy” Short of the home; two children, James Short and wife Krystal, and Amanda Blakley and husband Kevin; one brother, John Short (Tannya); two grandchildren, Jayme Short and Isabella Blakley; one great-grandchild; Teryn Short.
To honor the wishes of Jim, no formal service will be held.
