Obituary of Jimmy Dale Williams
Jimmy Dale "J.D." Williams Jimmy Dale "J.D." Williams, age 63, passed away and entered into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, May 10th, 2025. J.D., as he was affectionately known by most, was born December 24th, 1961 in New Hebron, Mississippi to Ella Mae (Moore) Williams and John Henry Williams. He was happily married to Jacqueline (Grant) Williams who was his wife in life for 43 years. Two children were born to this union, daughter Jawana Williams (Hendrix) and son Jeremy Williams. J.D. will be remembered by the many accomplishments he obtained in life and by the legacy of faith and family he left behind. J.D. was saved and gave his life to Christ at a very young age. Through his involvement in the church, he obtained a passion and love for instruments and music and he learned how to sing and play many different instruments within his church. He was a man of faith who immersed himself in song, worship and the word through most of his life. He was a committed member of Living Word Christian Center for many years. J.D. was a 1979 graduate of Evan E. Worthing Senior High School (Houston, Texas), and a 1983 graduate of Prairie View A&M University (Prairie View, Texas) where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Jimmy's career path included prosperous stents at Honeywell, Medtronics, Possis Medical, American Medical Systems and Pentair. He retired after thirteen fulfilling and successful years as the Vice President of Global Quality and Regulatory at Scientific Molding Corporation. J.D. played many sports from a very young age but his favorites were basketball and softball, which he both played and coached. Later in life golf became his sport of choice and his love of golf lead him to travel around the world playing at some of the most prestigious golf courses known. Jimmy also had a passion for traveling, riding his motorcycle, supporting and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Jimmy was a well tailored man known for his style and dress. His laughter, joy and zest for life, was quite infectious and he had a way of connecting with people through jokes, compassion, and a smile. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Williams and Ella Mae Williams (Moore), his grandfather Garfield Moore, and his grandmother Letha Mae Moore.
