Jo Ann Randall, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1st, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on March 17th, 1936, in Birmingham, Alabama, Jo Ann was a cherished resident of Austell, Georgia, where she spent the majority of her life surrounded by family and friends.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, John and Agnes Griggs, her loving husband, John Randall, her son Gene Daniels, and her son-in-law Tony Dupree. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Lisa Dupree and Tracey Johnson, her son Clifford (Kim) Daniels, her cherished granddaughter Anastasia Johnson, and her precious great-granddaughter Amelia Keith.
Jo Ann was a nurse, she retired after over 50 years of dedicated service to the healthcare community. Her compassion and commitment to helping others left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
In addition to her professional life, Jo Ann was an active member of the Literary Round Table of Mableton, where she shared her love for literature and writing. She was an accomplished writer of poems and short stories, and her creative spirit was an inspiration to many. Jo Ann also enjoyed playing tennis, a sport that brought her joy and camaraderie throughout her life.
Jo Ann's warmth, kindness, and wisdom will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and creativity will continue to live on through her family and the many lives she touched.
Arrangements for Jo Ann Randall have been entrusted to Roy Davis Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the remarkable woman she was.
