JOAN M. DOEDEN, age 94, of Worthington, died Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the Sanford Worthington Medical Center. She was born March 31, 1931, in Worthington, to Richard and Ruth (Pfeil) Johnson. She graduated from Worthington High School in 1949.
Joan married Maynard Doeden on November 11, 1950 at the First Lutheran Church in Worthington. The couple farmed south of Worthington in Bigelow Township for fifty one years before moving to Worthington in 2001. In 2015, Joan moved to the Meadows.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Worthington. She enjoyed arts & crafts, quilling and sewing.
Joan is survived by her son, Steve (Marge) Doeden, Brooklyn Park; and two grandsons, Michael Doeden, Bloomington; and Justin (Nicole) Doeden, Coon Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maynard on December 18, 2008; and her twin sister, Janit (Ken) Rose.
Funeral service will be 11 am Tuesday, July 15, at the First Lutheran Church, in Worthington, officiated by Pastor Jeanette McCormick. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, is in charge of arrangements.
