Joan Marie Groleau, 66, of Kingsford passed away Friday, November 24, 2023, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Joan was born July 10, 1957, in Norway, MI, daughter of the late Walter and Lois (Ihlenfeldt) Bellmore. She graduated from Norway High School, Class of 1975, before attending Ferris State University. She married Timothy Groleau on Sept. 21, 1991, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Quinnesec; he preceded her in death in 2008. Joan was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Norway, MI where she served in many capacities. She enjoyed baking, watching the Green Bay Packers, and attending her children's and later watching her grandchildren's sporting events. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and they were always her number one priority.
She is survived by her children, Jodi (Jason) Kangas of Iron Mountain, Darren Groleau and Roy Groleau, both of Quinnesec, and Rachel Allen of Lake Geneva, WI; grandchildren, Reece and Oskar Kangas, Lillian Allen and Carter Groleau; a sister, Diane Bellmore of Kingsford; a brother, Mark (Patti) Bellmore of Quinnesec; a sister-in-law, Cindy (David) Duecker of Twin Lakes, WI; a niece, Brianne Bellmore; nephews, Jason Duecker and Brandon (Megan) Bellmore; 2 great nephews, Noah Duecker and Beau Chartier; and 1 great niece, Ryleigh Bellmore.
Along with her parents and her husband, Tim, Joan was preceded in death by an infant sister, Karen; a nephew, Stefan Duecker; her mother-in-law, June DeLongchamp; and a brother-in-law, Thomas Groleau.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 2 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Norway with a service to follow at noon at the church. Rev. Michael Langlais will officiate. Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery.
